Perseverance Records (PEGI) announces the launch of a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign aimed at re-recording James Horner's original compositions for ‘80s cult films The Hand and The Dresser. Also in the mix are 7 of the 14 early concert works, Horner composed while still studying at UCLA.
This ambitious project, in collaboration with Spectral Shimmers Productions and the James Horner Estate, seeks to breathe new life into Horner's unreleased scores and introduce a series of original compositions to celebrate the extraordinary legacy of the Academy Award-winning composer.
“This Kickstarter campaign is about rediscovery and giving James Horner’s genius the platform it deserves,” said Perseverance Records founder/producer Robin Esterhammer. “These recordings are our tribute to his enduring impact on film music, an opportunity for new generations to experience the depth and breadth of his talent. We believe that projects such as this are crucial for keeping the spirit of iconic composers alive and pulsating through the hearts of movie and music lovers everywhere.”
