Philippe Rombi is guest of honor during WSA!

Exciting news! 🎶 French composer Philippe Rombi will be our guest of honour at the 24th World Soundtrack Awards. Rombi is no stranger to the festival and will be returning for the third time to Ghent. On 16 October 2024 he will be honoured at the World Soundtrack Awards Ceremony & Concert in De Bijloke. Renowned French composer, pianist and conductor Philippe Rombi is the guest of honour at this year's World Soundtrack Awards. Rombi’s symphonic music is often fantastical and intimate but equally suited for suspenseful thrillers or historical dramas. He has composed scores for over 50 films and frequently collaborates with directors such as François Ozon (Swimming Pool, Jeune et jolie, Potiche), Christian Carion (Une hirondelle a fait le printemps, Joyeux Noël), Dany Boon (Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis, Rien à déclarer) and Christophe Barratier (Envole-moi, Le Temps des secrets) leading to numerous Cézar and IFMCA nominations. A selection of his work will be performed by the Brussels Philharmonic, led by maestro Dirk Brossé.
