World premiere release of powerful original soundtrack from Donald P. Bellasario Mafia crime thriller with church settings, starring Tom Berenger, Daphne Zuniga. Bruce Broughton opens with rich, classically-drawn main theme. Tender melodic material plays major role as well but slam-bang action cues in Broughton's signature style (aggressive, propulsive) are genuine highlights. Several such high octane cues appear ('The Hit', 'Rooftop Chase') but 'Our Lady Of the Cars' surely leads the pack. Scored for large orchestra with chorus in tow.
