The New Line Cinema production Friday is directed by F. Gary Gray with Chris Tucker, Nia Long, Tom “Tiny” Lister, Jr. and Anna Maria Horsford.
This comedy with a strong hip-hop soundtrack features Craig (Ice Cube), who manages to get fired on his day off and spends the day hanging out with his buddy Smokey (Chris Tucker).
Craig Jones, recently fired and unemployed, spends Friday with his best friend, Smokey, a small-time drug peddler. The pair smoke a brokered consignment of marijuana, which Smokey was tasked to sell for Big Worm. Big Worm attempts to collect his money from Smokey, who inadvertently incriminates Craig, subjecting both to Big Worm's ultimatum: pay $200 no later than 10:00pm that evening, or else Craig and Smokey will be killed…..
