Lakeshore Records has released Leverage: Redemption—Original Series Soundtrack, featuring music by two-time Emmy-winning composer Joseph LoDuca (Evil Dead Trilogy, Xena: Warrior Princess), digitally on February 25. The eclectic score sports many moods ranging from coolly retro to whimsically modern, providing an expressive backdrop to the beloved crime drama.

Leverage: Redemption Season One is available to stream now exclusively on IMDb TV, Amazon’s premium free streaming service.

The music is available for sync licensing on www.music.film.

In Leverage: Redemption Season One, the Leverage crew has watched as the rich and powerful continue to take what they want without consequence. Grifter Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), hitter Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), and hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge) have watched the world change over the last eight years. Since their last job, it’s become easier—and sometimes legal—for the rich to become richer and the powerful to squash anyone who gets in their way.
To address the changes in the world around them, the team finds new blood in Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle), a corporate lawyer who is looking for redemption after realizing he’d been sitting on the wrong side of the table for his entire career, and Breanna Casey (Aleyse Shannon), Hardison’s foster sister who has a knack for computers, robotics, and getting into trouble.

Says LoDuca: “The chance to revisit our brilliant and beloved characters with Leverage: Redemption provided all of us who work on the series with fresh opportunities. From a story perspective, each member of the team has grown into a leadership role, and together they are more like a family than ever.”

“For me it meant crafting music with a more international flair, as well as finding moments to support their deepening bonds. There is as much groove as ever underpinning their exploits, now with a fresh set of beats and sounds.”
“Thanks as always to Dean Devlin for encouraging me to discover it all! May you have as much fun listening to the music as it was for me to make it.”

About Joseph LoDuca

Two-time Emmy Award winning composer (12-time Emmy nominated) Joseph LoDuca has enjoyed a prolific career in writing for film and television. He began with director Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead Trilogy, and followed up in the action/fantasy genre with Xena: Warrior Princess (Emmy winner), Legend of the Seeker (Emmy winner), and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Other television highlights include the Starz Entertainment series Spartacus (produced by Raimi/Tapert/Donen and Steven DeKnight), and Turner Network Television’s Leverage (for Dean Devlin), TNT’s The Librarians, Ash v. Evil Dead for Starz, and Disjointed, a Netflix sitcom starring Kathy Bates (David Javerbaum, Chuck Lorre).

In film, more recent scores include thrillers Bad Samaritan (Dean Devlin) and Cult of Chucky (Don Mancini); the romantic comedies Say My Name (Jay Stern) and Here:After (Harry Greenberger).

Current TV projects include the USA/SciFi series Chucky, the return of Leverage for Amazon/IMDb TV, and Evil Dead: The Game (Saber: Interactive), his first foray into video games.

Internationally, his films include Brotherhood of the Wolf (Cesar nominee for Best Score) and Saint Ange. LoDuca also scored Patagonia (directed by Marc Evans), which was selected as the 2012 British entry for the Foreign Language Oscar, and included song collaborations with pop artist Duffy and operatic baritone Bryn Terfel. His body of work also features operettas, musicals and theme songs, which have earned him five of his twelve Emmy nominations.

On his life as a film composer Joseph muses, “I love my role in creating a unique, emotional world for a story, and in having the chance to evoke feelings in people they may not have expected.”
