Plaza Mayor Company Ltd presents the soundtrack for Cosas imposibles (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), director Ernesto Contreras and music by Andrés Sánchez Maher and Gus Reyes.
The soundtrack is available july 9, 2021 to download on digital music platforms.
With Nora Velazques, Benny Emmanuel and Salvador Garcini in the lead roles, Cosas imposibles is a story set in a Mexico City housing complex, which focuses on Matilde, a 60-year-old widowed woman whose memory of her abusive husband continues to haunt her, but only in her head. She establishes an unlikely friendship with Miguel, a 19-year-old neighbor with his own problems. The two will form a peculiar friendship in which together they will help each other to shake off their inner demons.
To work with Andrés Sánchez and Gus Reyes means embarking on a journey that we never know where or when it will end, but one that morphs into one of the most joyful and stimulating processes for me as director. How do we know when we find the right path? It’s hard to explain, but when we have it, we can feel it. Today I can say that the original score of Cosas imposibles (Impossible Things) is beautiful and perfect.
