MovieScore Media’s latest release with composer Christopher Wong gives its own spin to the world of ”Crazy Rich Asians” with The Royal Bride, the third part of the popular Gai Gia Lam Chieu series by filmmakers Namcito and Bảo Nhân.

The Gai Gia Lam Chieu films focus on the stories of beautiful young women, whose successful careers intertwine with their complicated love life. In The Royal Bride, successful talk show host Ms. Q (Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc) is finally ready to tie the know with her boyfriend (Le Xuan Tien), only to realize that not only is he fabulously wealthy, but also a member of a royal family.
With the mother-in-law scheming to arrange a more suitable match for her son, Ms. Q must make a tough decision about her fiancée and her career…

Having scored the previous two installments of the franchise, Christopher Wong returns to the world of Gai Gia Lam Chieu with his most ambitious and eclectic scores yet. In his fourth collaborations with the directors, he explores the emotional rollercoaster the film has to offer as it ranges from comedy to serious drama, which gave us a palette to explore many different musical directions. Accordingly, the styles of music ranges from Baroque Opera to jazz big band, as well as orchestral cues with Asian influences.

Composer Christopher Wong has established himself as the go-to composer for the rising generation of Asian American directors. Christopher’s interest in film music began late in college when he was selected by the music department to study privately under Jerry Goldsmith.
His first major credit was Journey from the Fall, the debut feature from director Ham Tran – the film received a standing ovation at the Sundance Film Festival, while the score earned a nomination from the International Film Music Critics Association for Best New Composer of 2007.

MovieScore Media has released Christopher’s scores for The Rebel, a historical drama set in 1920 French Indochina, the romantic comedy How to Fight in Six Inch Heels and his last few collaborations with Victor Vu, including Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass,Loi Bao, The Immortal and Mat Biec.
