Skyscraper is an upcoming action blockbuster directed by Rawson M. Thurber (Dodgeball, Central Intelligence) and starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Set in Hong Kong, the film follows former FBI team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer (Johnson) as he assess the security of the city’s tallest and “safest” skyscraper. Pandemonium breaks out as terrorists attack the building, and Sawyer finds himself framed for the carnage. With his back against the wall, Sawyer is forced to retaliate against the attackers and rescue his family trapped in the burning building. Hotly anticipated and an enormous film, Skyscraper is being released by Universal Pictures worldwide this July.

A film centered on a disaster so huge needs a score to match. Fortunately, the scoring duties on Skyscraper came to Steve Jablonsky.
As the world-renowned composer for films such as the Transformers series, Battleship and Pain & Gain, Jablonsky has earned a reputation for deftly handling massive films that call for booming, bombastic scores. With Skyscraper, Jablonsky has again delivered a score that roars like an inferno engulfing a building, with thunderous strings and drums you could hear all the way on the top floor. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building...above the fire line.

Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, We’re the Millers), the 3D action-thriller is produced by Beau Flynn (San Andreas, Baywatch), Johnson, Thurber and Hiram Garcia (San Andreas, Central Intelligence).
