Avengers : Infinity War marque le rapatriement d’un forgeur de mélodies estimé au sein de la Maison des Idées ; après le patriotique Captain America (2011) et le fédérateur Avengers (2012), mais également un changement radical de tonalité ; aussi bien dans sa structure narrative que musicale. Au-delà de la réitération de l’étincelant ‘Avengers Theme’, la musique d’Alan Silvestri se pourvoit d’un ton comminatoire et dramatique saillant ('Even For You', 'Porch', 'Infinity War'). L’ombre de Thanos plane tout au long de sa partition laissant place à une tension particulièrement palpable ('Travel Delays', 'Hand Means Stop', 'Get That Arm')! Tantôt martiale, tantôt élégiaque, elle s’aventure dans une direction qu’aucun compositeur de l’Univers Cinématographique Marvel n’aurait pu emprunter. Alan Silvestri n’en oublie pas pour autant de rythmer les exploits des Avengers avec ses cuivres frénétiques, ses cordes héroïques et ses chœurs massifs (mention spéciale à l'euphorique 'Forge'). Avengers : Infinity War est un score particulièrement bien charpenté, minutieux et audacieux qui ; une fois associé aux images trépidantes et vertigineuses des frères Russo, extasie le cinéphile à coup sûr !

Alan Silvestri's score available on 04/27/18
Hollywood Records will release Alan Silvestri's score to Avengers: Infinity War on April 27nd 2018. The soundtrack will be available digitally on that date. A CD release will follow on May 18nd 2018. The digital release will have a playtime of 116 minutes. Currently there is no extra information about the CD release. Infinity War is the third Avengers film and is directed by the brothers Russo (Captain America Winter Soldier and Civil War). In this film the Avengers have to face Thanos and they have to stop him in his quest to get all 6 infinity stones. Composer Alan Silvestri (Captain America, The Avengers, Ready Player One, Back to the Future,....) is returning to the Avengers franchise. His Avengers theme is back but this film is not a happy film. Because the nature of Thanos quest, alot happens in this film and Silvestri has written some dark passages to accompany Thanos. The digital release features a big part of Silvestri's score with almost 2 hours of music. It will be alot to take in. Next year Marvel will release the fourth Avengers film and the story will continue. Silvestri will be back to write the music!
