Composer Shunsuke Kikuchi's (known for his score from Gamera and the Dragon Ball anime series) score to the horror film 'The Snake Girl and the Silver Haired Witch' (Daiei, 1968) is getting its premiere CD release! Until now, only a small number of cues from the score have been released, in King Records' ten disc King of the Monsters box set from 1991. This release of the complete score will be newly remastered and will feature bonus material.
The film, directed by Noriaki Yuasa (director of all but one of the original series of Gamera films), is based on manga publications by Kazuo Umezu. The story follows feuding sister witches who fight an evil force.

World premiere release of Original soundtracks from a classic Japanese horror film in '60s based upon the comics by Kazuo Umezu. Music by Shunsuke Kikuchi.
Extremely fun Daiei adaptation of two shojo horror manga into a single, crazily FX-laden story about two rival, shape-shifting sisters who are on less than good terms. However, when an evil creature makes an appearance they have to overlook their differences and join forces to battle it. Director: Noriaki Yuasa, Stars: Yuko Hamada, Sachiko Meguro, Yachie Matsui. 1968. JAPAN.
