A maid witnesses a murder at an upscale hotel and a policeman is assigned to the case, but it soon becomes clear that important people don't want the case solved.
The Nile Hilton Incident is the new film by Tarik Saleh (Metropia) starring Fares Fares (Zero Dark Thirty). It was screened in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition section of the 2017 Sundance Film Festival where it was awarded the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic. It also was screened at the 2017 Cannes Festival where it received favourable support.
The original score to this brilliant thriller was composed by Krister Linder – who collaborated with director Tarik Saleh on Metropia. He composed for this new one a captivating experimental music, filled with deep layers of sound and troubling arpeggios. Ranging from drone to ambient, the pieces Swedish composer created perfectly fit to this film noir’s pot, and put Krister Linder on tomorrow’s composers map. The soundtrack also features the traditional “Gina’s Song (Ya Msafer Wahdak)” arranged by Krister Linder.
