LAKESHORE RECORDS PRESENTS MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK Featuring Songs By Outasight, Ra Ra Riot and The Darkness With Original Performances By The Film’s Adam Devine And Zac Efron

(July 8, 2016 – Los Angeles, CA) – Lakeshore Records will release the MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on July 8th and on CD August 19, 2016. Zac Efron showcases his musical talents with two exclusive songs, a unique performance of “You Are So Beautiful,” and the original song “Stang Life,” which features co-star Adam Devine (and was co-written by Zac Efron, the film’s director Jake Szymanski, Adam Devine, Jonny Pakfar and Shane Eli). During production in Hawaii Zac Efron impressed the filmmakers when he spontaneously broke into an original free-style rap from the point of view of his character “Dave.” His rap skills were surprisingly strong and his original lyrics perfectly captured the plot points of the film. Adam Devine had to join in the fun as his character “Mike” and the result is the comedic rap track “Stang Life” about living as a wild Stangle brother.

This eclectic album pulls together amazing new tracks like “Do Something Crazy (Good Vibes Only)” by Outasight featuring Cook Classics alongside indie darlings Courtney Barnett, Be Your Own Pet and Ra Ra Riot. The album also features classic songs from Thin Lizzy, The Darkness and Mase, a score medley from composer Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, Training Day), plus an original performance of the Elvis Presley classic “Love Me Tender” by Hawaiian recording artist legends The Rough Riders.

In the film, hard-partying brothers Mike (Adam Devine) and Dave (Zac Efron) place an online ad to find the perfect dates (Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza) for their sister's Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves outsmarted and out-partied by the uncontrollable duo.
