I really wanted to like this score. And there are things to like, such as the ballsy trombone-led title theme and the massive choral outbursts in the score's middle and final acts. Unfortunately, Cornish tends to favor head-spinning dissonance more akin to a slasher movie than a swashbuckling fantasy adventure. The pop songs at the beginning of the album aren't helping much either.
