Little Richard (Ricardito) is a parrotfish born inside the coral reef. He lives with his parents who spend all day nibbling seaweed and with his 23 brothers and sisters who only eat toast stuffed with those greenish vegetables. He was born with a malformation and unlike his peers he has a soft and floating dorsal fin which when held straight resembles that of sharks. He spends his days trying to look like sharks but everyone makes fun of him, at school, at home, on the streets of the reef. One day, after yet another mistreatment, he leaves home and ventures into the ocean where he meets many different fish and a family of little sharks, Rosetta and Aly. With them he will begin a journey to find himself, understand the importance of his species and fight against the hated pollution of the seas. Written by MARCO POLLINI
The flm's soundtrack was composed with the aim of refecting the rich and colorful world of Ricardito and the Ocean. For this reason it stands out for the wide variety of musical instruments used: within it we can fnd the use of ethnic instruments (the Irish Tin Whistle, Scottish bagpipes, Indian and East Asian percussion), the use of a symphony orchestra, as well as synthesizers and sounds from the world of electronic music. In addition, the soundtrack embraces a wide range of musical styles ranging from an orchestral genre typical of flm music to horror and thriller tracks.
