This release is a Xrosscounter Music release exclusively distributed by Notefornote Music. For the first time ever, Joe Renzetti's score to the 1980 James Glickenhaus directed cult classic hybrid of action, revenge and horror is available on CD.
Officially licensed by Xrosscounter from James Glickenhaus, the music was carefully remastered and released on vinyl over a year ago. Joe Renzetti worked closely with the producers to give fans the best presentation of the score.
Contains iconic song “Heal It” by Roger Bowling, Byron Hill and Mike Reid which is making it's release debut on this soundtrack.

The Exterminator is a 1980 American vigilante action film written and directed by James Glickenhaus. It stars Robert Ginty as the Vietnam War veteran John Eastland, also known as 'The Exterminator'. When a group of thugs paralyze his friend,
Eastland becomes a vigilante; embarking on a mission to cleanse New York of organized crime. The film also stars Samantha Eggar, Christopher George and Steve James.
It has gained a cult following since its release.
The composer :
Joe Renzetti a native of Philadelphia, PA., Interested in film composing, left for Hollywood and landed a gig doing the music for a new rock n' roll biopic, 'The Buddy Holly Story.'
There he taught the actors portraying Holly the Crickets to sing and play their instruments. They were then filmed performing live on camera, which was a first for a movie. Joe Renzetti won an Academy Award for 'Best Adaptation Score' for 'The Buddy Holly Story.'
He worked with Anne Bancroft and Mel Brooks on the film 'Fatso' featuring Dom DeLuise.
He scored the original 'Child's Play,' written and directed by Tom Holland, and did a cable series by Tom for FearNet called 'Twisted Tails.'
Joe Renzetti has collaborated with director Gary Sherman on : 'Poltergeist III,' 'Dead & Buried,' 'Vice Squad,' 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,' and the TV series 'Missing Persons.'
Joe supplied the scores for 'Frankenhooker' and both 'Basket Case 2&3.'
