Lady Chatterley, Franco-British film directed by Pascale Ferran in 2006 with Marina Hands (Constance), Jean-Louis Coulloc'h (Parkin), Hippolyte Girardot (Clifford), Hélène Alexandridis (Mrs Bolton), Hélène Fillieres (Hilda), Sava Lolov (Tommy Dukes), Bernard Verley (Constance's father).

In the Chatterley’s country estate, monotonous days follow one after the other for Constance, trapped by her marriage and her sense of duty.
During spring, deep in the heart of Wragby forest, she encounters Parkin, the estate’s gamekeeper.
The film is their story.
The tale of an encounter, a difficult apprenticeship, a slow awakening to sensuality for her, a long return to life for him.
Or how love is but one with experience and transformation.


« I met Pascale Ferran in1993. I have to admit that without her I wouldn't have composed music forcinema films.
Quite simply because I hadn't really thought about it and my first contactswith this world were totally discouraging, particularly because I am a woman.
Pascale opened to me the door to her artistic world
Because her trust and our work, I became a film music composer who isrecognised and in demand.
In that sense, I owe her everything.

The reissue of this CD features the music for Lady Chatterley, one of myfavourite scores, which won me a Fipa d'Or.
The film has won numerous awards, including the César for Best Film, which bydefinition is awarded to the whole team.

Music is one of the language elements of her films.
She asks me to keep my contributions short and to the point, so that they havea real impact.
A rare simplicity that opens up a whole range of possibilities.
The album also includes music from two of our other collaborations on hisfilms.
The first ''petits arrangements avec les morts 'dear to my heart as it ismy first film score, is remarkably performed by members of the EnsembleIntercontemporain.
It's a string quartet in dialogue with a vibraphone.
The second, 'l'âge des possibles' , is a cello and bass clarinet dueton a simple, basic theme, as a famous French rapper would say.
Finally, I'm happy to share in this album the fantasy for choir and orchestracommissioned by the Banja Luka Festival and recorded in Pragues to a poem by'Wolfie'... that is to say, Wolgang Amadeus Mozart: .vogel star.
It was Pascale Ferran's idea to include one of my 'commissioned works' on theBo, a totally personal touch.
The reissue of this album is a marvellous event and a plunge into my musicalwriting, born of a dialogue with an exceptional artist, the film-maker PascaleFerran. »
