In 2021, Pérez Rosso was selected as a BAFTA Breakthrough for his score on the newly restored Universal Pictures Silent Film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. He is also a proud alumnus of the inaugural 2018 Universal Pictures Composers Initiative.

His other scoring credits include Silks and Saddles (1929) for Universal Pictures and the animated short Wishing Box, which earned him nominations for Best Original Score in an Animated Short at the 2017 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, the Peer Raben Music Award (Soundtrack Cologne), and the Jerry Goldsmith Awards (Film Music Festival - Spain). Pérez Rosso has also worked on several television scoring projects, including Sony Pictures Television's El Baron and NBC Sports' Sticks & Stones.

Pérez Rosso's musical journey began when he started playing saxophone at the age of ten. He went on to study composition and sound engineering in Bogota, receiving a BA in music from Javeriana University in 2007.
In 2013, he continued his film scoring studies at UCLA and relocated to Los Angeles, where he has since established himself as a sought-after composer in the industry.

Pérez Rosso's work with highly acclaimed composers, including Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Michael Abels and four-time Oscar-nominated composer Danny Elfman, has helped shape his musical talents and prepare him for his groundbreaking contributions to film scoring and composition.
