There’s Still Tomorrow is directed by Paola Cortellesi with Paola Cortellesi herself, Valerio Mastandrea, Emanuela Fanelli, Romana Maggiora Vergano, Giorgio Colangeli and Vinicio Marchioni.

Delia (Paola Cortellesi) is Ivano’s wife, the mother of three children. Wife, mother. These are the roles that define her and that is enough for her.
This is the mid-1940s and this ordinary family lives in Rome, a city divided between the positive driving spirit of the liberation and the misery of the recently ended war. Ivano (Valerio Mastandrea) is the supreme head and master of the family, he works hard to bring a subsistence wage home and never misses an opportunity to underscore this fact, sometimes in belittling terms, other times directly with the lash.
He respects only that scoundrel of his father, Sor Ottorino (Giorgio Colangeli), a rancorous and despotic man for whom Delia in fact serves as a caregiver. Delia’s only relief is her friend Marisa (Emanuela Fanelli), with whom she shares some moments of levity as they share their intimate secrets.
It is springtime and the whole family is abuzz for the imminent engagement of their beloved eldest daughter Marcella (Romana Maggiore Vergano) who, in turn, hopes only to get married in a hurry to a nice middle-class boy….
