Soon to be available internationally on Netflix with the film AKA by Morgan S. Dalibert, Etienne Forget has recently composed the music for the film Sexygénaires by Robyn Sykes to be released in theaters by the end of the year.
With these latest films, Etienne Forget puts aside the electronic sounds that have so far defined his work to move towards a more acoustic and stripped-down presence.
Etienne Forget offers with AKA an action film score coupled with a sensitive connection to the characters to involve the listener in their inner narrative.
« 3 main themes make up the music of AKA : the world of secret services (AKA theme) with a cello ostinato to evoke determination and fragility, highlighting a contrast between the idea of justice and the darkness of the morality that sometimes operates in its name.
That of terrorism (Mokhtar theme) with slight Middle Eastern accents, which depending on its harmonic context, evokes either the pressure of a threat or the original suffering that hides behind it.
And finally, that of identity (ADAM theme), which reveals the story and humanity of the main character, gradually pulling him out of the influence of the secret services and the AKA theme. ». Etienne Forget
