Till is a profoundly emotional film telling the true story of American educator and activist Mamie Till-Mobley’s relentless pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till, who, in 1955, was lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi. In Mamie’s poignant journey of grief turned to action, we see the universal power of a mother’s ability to change the world.

From stirring strings underlined with foreboding dark pulses to mournful movements followed by deeply inspiring sequences, Abel Korzeniowski’s powerful orchestral soundtrack captures the raw emotional turbulence of grief and defiant strength.

Of his score, Korzeniowski explains “The musical themes tell the story of coping with the effects of violence by those who survived, finding strength where there is no more hope, finding courage where the pain is unbearable. It is a tribute to those, who against all odds, and despite the world’s indifference to their plight, continue to preserve their humanity.”

Korzeniowski’s scores have received critical acclaimed and numerous awards, most notably two Golden Globe nominations, and three World Soundtrack Awards. His credits include Tom Ford’s A Single Man, Madonna’s feature film W.E., John Logan’s lauded TV series Penny Dreadful and many more.

Till stars Danielle Deadwyler (The Harder They Fall), Jalyn Hall (All American), Haley Bennett (Cyrano), John Douglas Thompson (The Gilded Age), Tosin Cole (upcoming House Party), Jayme Lawson (The Woman King), Roger Guenveur Smith (K Street), Frankie Faison (The Wire), and legendary EGOT award-winner, Whoopi Goldberg.

Till made its world premiere during the opening weekend of the 60th New York Film Festival as a Spotlight presentation at Lincoln Center to critical praise. The film will open in select theaters on October 14th before a nationwide release beginning on October 28th.
