Samaritan is an MGM film directed by Julius Avery with a screenplay by Bragi F. Schut and starring Sylvester Stallone.

The film premieres exclusively on Prime Video globally since August 26, 2022.

Thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith (Sylvester Stallone) is actually a legend hiding in plain sight.
Twenty-five years ago, Granite City’s super-powered vigilante, Samaritan, was reported dead after a fiery warehouse battle with his rival, Nemesis. Most believe Samaritan perished in the fire, but some in the city, like Sam, have hope that he is still alive.
With crime on the rise and the
city on the brink of chaos, Sam makes it his mission to coax his neighbor out of hiding to save the city from ruin.

Jed Kurzel

Jed Kurzel is an award-winning composer and musician. His feature film debut for the critically-acclaimed Australian movie The Snowtown Murders was named Feature Film Score of the Year at Australia’s 2011 Screen Music Awards and he has since gone on to score feature films including: The Babadook (Dir: Jennifer Kent), which William Friedkin, director of The Exorcist, described as the most “terrifying film” he had ever seen; Slow West (Dir: John Maclean), which won Jed his second Australian and New Zealand Screen Music Award for Feature Film Score of the Year in 2015; Macbeth (Dir: Justin Kurzel), starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, which premiered in competition at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival; Assassin’s Creed (Dir: Justin Kurzel); Alien: Covenant for master auteur Ridley Scott; Jupiter’s Moon (Dir: Kornel Mundruczo) which premiered in competition at Cannes in 2017; Una (Dir: Benedict Andrews), the film adaptation of David Harrower’s Oliver Award- winning play Blackbird, starring Rooney Mara and Ben Mendelsohn; Overlord for producer J.J. Kevin Kiner

Annie Award-winning composer Kevin Kiner has also been honored with multiple Emmy and other Annie Nominations, and won 20 BMI Film & TV Awards, making him one of the most versatile and sought-after composer in Hollywood.

Over more than a decade, working with George Lucas and Dave Filoni, Kevin scored all seven seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which earned him the 2021 Annie Award for “Best Music – TV/ Media” tor the series finale episode “Victory and Death”, as well as a Primetime Emmy nomination.

His other diverse credits include HBO Max’s Peacemaker, Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico, HBO Max’s Titans and Doom Patrol, Showtime’s City on a Hill, AMC’s hit series Dark Winds and Hell on Wheels, CBS’s CSI: Miami, and CW’s Jane the Virgin.

From his intimate, soloistic guitar music to his grand orchestral music, Kevin has transported audience from deserts to metropolises – and even to a galaxy far, far away.

Jed Danyel Kurzel (born 1976) is an Australian singer-songwriter-guitarist and film composer. He is a founding member of The Mess Hall (from 2001), a blues rock duo.
Kevin Kiner (born September 3, 1958) is an American film and television composer best known for scoring CSI: Miami, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels.
