The tradition of Music Hall lasted for over 100 years until the TV became a staple household item in the 1960s. Born in the London pubs, an often raucous clientele enjoyed a variety of acts that included popular songs of the day, comedy and drama. The form was nostalgically remembered in the long running BBC series The Good Old Days that recreated the acts and the vibe of the shows of yesteryear. Featured here are 24 classic performances by the masters of the genre. * All original recordings digitally remastered * Strong artist list featuring legends of the era such as Max Miller, George Formby, Flanagen & Allen, Harry Lauder, Charles Penrose and many more
