Varèse Sarabande is excited to announce their Record Store Day Black Friday title Death Becomes Her comes as a limited-edition Purple – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Deluxe Edition), with music by Alan Silvestri
One of Meryl Streep’s first attempts at lighter fare was the fan-favorite dark comedy Death Becomes Her, which included one of her earlier vocal performances on film.
Her original song “Me” is expanded here from 2:18 on the original CD release to 3:28. There are also seven unreleased cues not previously available.
The score was created by super composer Alan Silvestri (The Avengers, Forrest Gump, Back to the Future), and this is the first time the music has ever been available on LP. Pressed on limited-edition Purple vinyl with revised cover art and a printed inner sleeve.
