New Varese Club releases

Predator 2, Peggy Sue Got Married, For Whom The Bell Tolls & Fedora

Varese Sarabande has released 4 new soundtracks in their Club collection. A 2-CD Deluxe soundtrack for Alan Silvestri's score to Predator 2, a Deluxe soundtrack for John Barry's Peggy Sue Got Married, Victor Young's For Whom The Bell Tolls and Miklos Rozsa's Fedora.

Alan Silvestri’s score for the original Predator is one of the all-time classic action scores and one of his own very best. It was an instant classic when the film was released in 1987, though a soundtrack album never followed until we released it in 2003. 1990’s Predator 2 gave Silvestri an even bigger palette. He not only lived up to his first score but went beyond. Predator 2 is a master class in percussion and brass. The score is truly epic and has, for many years, been one of our most requested scores to bring back and expand. We now give Alan Silvestri’s Predator 2 the full Varčse Sarabande CD Club treatment is this 2CD Deluxe Edition. There will be 3000 copies available

Here’s a Varčse Encore release of another very early title from our CD Club. Miklós Rózsa’s luminous Fedora was actually just the second title released from the original Varčse CD Club, way back in 1989! It’s been out of print, expensive and hard to get ever since. But now the timing is perfect. The film itself was just released on Blu-ray a few weeks ago, allowing a new generation to discover it. We are so excited about making this late-Rózsa classic available once again.

As a special bonus, this Encore Edition also retains the Crisis Guitar Suite, performed by Daryl Denning.

There will be 1000 copies available.
