Maestro Morricone passed away at the age of 91.

Ennie Morricone passed away at the age of 91 in the city of Rome Italy. Has written the music for more then 500 films and television films.

He has worked with famous directors such as Terrence Malick’s Days of Heaven, Roland Joffe’s The Mission, Brian De Palma’s The Untouchables, Barry Levinson’s Bugsy, Giuseppe Tornatore’s Malena and won the Oscar for Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.

One of his most special working relationships it that with Sergio Leone for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, A Fistful of Dollars and Once Upon a Time in America. This is a sad day for the filmmusic industry.
