La-La Land Records en CBS brengen op 29 november 2016 STAR TREK: 50th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION – MUSICAL RARITIES FROM ACROSS THE STAR TREK UNIVERSE uit. Deze release is een 4-CD set geworden om de 50ste verjaardag van Star Trek te vieren. Deze set bevat een heleboel nummers die zeer zeldzaam zijn uit de tv series, games, films en attracties. Op CD 1 staat muziek uit de Star Trek tv serie. CD 2 bevat muziek uit de animatie reeks van Star Trek uit de jaren 70 en Dennis McCarty's game score voor Star Trek Borg. CD 3 bevat muziek uit Star Trek The Next Generation welke voorheen nog niet uitgebracht geweest is zoals de afleveringen Coming of Age, The Hunted en Tapestry. Op CD 4 staat nog meer muziek uit The Next Generation, demo tracks uit Voyager en Deep Space Nine en muziek uit de beroemde Las Vegas attractie Star Trek: The Experience. In totaal zullen er 3000 exemplaren verkrijgbaar zijn.
