STEVE MARTIN stars in A SIMPLE TWIST OF FATE, a film which he wrote himself over a period of four years. The film is a contemporary drama in which a disillusioned working man alienates himself from his neighbours, his community and his own dreams until he makes a remarkable discovery and learns a simple truth: that human love is more precious than gold. It's a heart-warming story about a father and a little girl, and an eventual custody battle. The film also stars Catherine O´Hara and Gabriel Byrne.
The magically beautiful score for A SIMPLE TWIST OF FATE was composed by Cliff Eidelman and is very much a part of the same sound world as the composer's music for UNTAMED HEART. In addition to the score from the film, this disc also features a special performance of the theme performed by Cliff Eidelman himself on piano. This recording was produced exclusively for this CD.
