This record has a very similar cover to one produced in 1981 with catalog number 1V 8150. However, that issue has 9 additional tracks for a total of 20. Most of the cast on this album had worked on Disney's 'Big Three' records from 1980 -- 'Yankee Doodle Mickey,' 'Goin' Quackers' and 'Pardners.'
Larry Groce has a strong presence on the album, joined by Disney characters Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Chip 'n' Dale and Clarabelle who contribute vocals on tracks 1, 3, 7 and 10. The character voices feature the talents of Ducky Nash, Phil Baron and Will Ryan. A young Molly Ringwald contributes her last, and standout solo, for Disneyland Records on 'The First Noel.'
In 1987, The Walt Disney Company issued the CD 'Disney Presents A Family Christmas' with 8 of the tracks found on this album that include tracks 3-10.
