The historically important release celebrates the 50th anniversary of the British Music Hall Society with rare performances by Music Hall and Variety legends such as G.H. Elliott, Alice Lloyd, Ada Reeve, Randolph Sutton, Leslie Sarony, Gladys Morgan, Elsie and Doris Waters, Tommy Trinder, Cavan O’Connor, Joan Hinde, Mrs Shufflewick, Hutch, Alma Cogan and Roy Hudd, President of the society and who also contributed the liner notes. Many of the recordings here were recorded “live” by the Society and are now appearing on CD for the first time.
