Featured artists include David Grubbs, Ken Vandermark, Jim O'Rourke and exclusive track by Will Oldham. A landmark release, and to me it truly defines the 'post' in 'post-rock.' Propelled strictly by word-of-mouth in underground film/music circles, the ever-shifting Boxhead Ensemble went on to record several follow-ups to this soundtrack, and toured the world performing them live. Which means this unassuming little soundtrack became the genesis of an unexpected cottage industry, one of the oddest and most refreshing things to happen in a long time.
