Pentamusic continues its journey into Italian Western territory with this third volume focusing on two absolute cult classics, REQUIESCANT (1967, Lou Castle, Pier Paolo Pasolini, directed by Carlo Lizzani) and O'CANGACEIRO (1970, Tomas Milian, directed by Giovanni Fago).
Until now, REQUIESCANT was noticeably absent from the discography of the titanic maestro Riz Ortolani, among the most prolific and talented Italian composers of the 20th century. Finally, this long-awaited soundtrack is available, all its classic Western sounds marked with the inspiration of the popular musician. Also included are two themes from the soundtrack of O'CANGACEIRO which originally appeared on a 45 rpm single release of this score, the complete recordings of which, to date, seem to be lost.
