Henry Mancini scored the music for numerous films from the 50s until the early 90s. Perhaps best known for his soundtrack for The Pink Panther, Mancini's music is rich with good tunes that people have been humming and whistling for decades. This disc from Dutton features Mancini's superb soundtrack to Visions of Eight, Milos Forman's documentary about the 1972 Olympics. It is paired with the album Just You and Me Together Love, a collaboration with poet John Laws that recalls some of the Rod McKuen/Anita Kerr projects of the late 60s.
