Link, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman & The Great Buck Howard

Nieuwe releases La-La Land Records

La-La Land Records heeft deze week 3 nieuwe soundtracks uitgebracht. De eerste is een heruitgave van Jerry Goldsmith’s score voor Link, soundtrack 2 is Lolita Ritmanis score voor de animatie film Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman en de laatste titel is The Great Buck Howard van componist Blake Neely.

In 2011 heeft Intrada Jerry Goldsmith’s score voor Link uitgebracht. Deze release is reeds lange tijd uitverkocht. La-La Land Records brengt deze score nu terug uit op CD in een oplage van 2000 exemplaren. Deze versie is identiek aan de Intrada release. Link is een film uit 1986 van regisseur Richard Franklin met in de hoofdrollen Elizabeth Shue en Terence Stamp. Goldsmith smelt orkest en synths samen in deze score over en op hol geslagen orang oetan. De totale speelduur bedraagt 39 minuten. De nieuwe cover is gemaakt door Jim Titus.

Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman is een animatie film van Warner Bros uit 2003. De stemmen in deze productie zijn van Kevin Conroy, Hector Elizondo and Kyra Sedgwick, en de regie lag in handen van Curt Geda. De muziek is gecomponeerd door Lolita Ritmanis BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, BATMAN: BRAVE AND THE BOLD). Zij componeerde een score vol met jazzy invloeden. Als bonus bevat deze soundtrack ook de muziek voor de animatie kortfilm Chase Me. Dit album is geremastered door James Nelson. De speelduur bedraagt 65 minuten.

De derde en laatste release van deze week is The Great Buck Howard van componist Black Neely. Neely is vooral bekend voor zijn muziek voor tv series zoals The Flash, Arrow en The Mentalist. In 2008 componeerde hij de score voor de film The Great Buck Howard. Een film met John Malkovich, Colin Hanks en Emily Blunt in de hoofdrol. Zijn orkestrale score klinkt speels en bevat voldoende emotie om dit verhaal tot leven te brengen. In totaal zijn er 1000 exemplaren verkrijgbaar.
