Manda tu crítica

One of the most prolific of Tin Pan Alley scribes, Jerome Kern is given the royal treatment here with 25 vintage interpretations by some of the finest singers in jazz and pop. The likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan may be missing (two stars from songbook competitors Verve), but Capitol more than makes up for it with golden takes from Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Nat King Cole, Jo Stafford, and Judy Garland. Among the many other choice cuts on display, the disc features particularly fine sides by Dinah Washington ('Jim') and Nancy Wilson ('Dearly Beloved').
