Available digitally for the first time, and released as part of The Hammer Legacy series, The Vampire Collection, The Frankenstein Collection and The Science Fiction Collection feature some of the best music from the wonderfully crafted Hammer scores.
The Science Fiction Collection begins with James Bernard’s opening titles from The Quatermass Xperiment. The collection also features additional cues from Quatermass 2 and the final film in the trilogy, Quatermass And The Pit. From Tristram Cary, an early pioneer of electronic music who also wrote for Doctor Who come orchestral tracks for Quatermass And The Pit (1967) presented alongside a section of Cary’s electronic music and the closing credits music by Dennis Farnon. The Science Fiction Collection is completed by the rousing title music from Moon Zero Two, composed by Don Ellis and performed by Julie Driscoll.
