Carl-Johan “Oa” Sevedag is a composer/multi-instrumentalist born in 1987 in Skåne, Sweden, raised in Spain and currently residing in Stockholm. His interest in music started at a young age and turned into a career as a genre-crossing producer and songwriter. No matter the genre, his sound has often been described as playfully melodic with a lot of detail given to harmonic textures and unexpected turns.
For Carl-Johan it was a natural step to start scoring films when he at the age of 23, composed music for the Emmy-winning documentary 'Clouds over Cuba'.
Along with fellow Swedish composer Jon Ekstrand, he has scored numerous films and series like 'Borg vs. McEnroe, Horizon Line, ALEX, and Top Dog. The latter being awarded 'Best Score' in CannesSeries 2020. As of recently, he has composed the scores for the publicly acclaimed Netflix Originals 'Red Dot', Bartosz M. Kowaltski’s latest horror film “Hellhole” and a 60’s-oozing 80 minute piece for Måns Nyman’s debut “Locals”.
