This record was released on the Disneyland and Buena Vista Records labels. The stereo version for the Buena Vista Records version will show BV-3981 on the cover and STER-3981 on the record label. There are no track marks on the record surface, but the back cover includes a list and the record label shows them with numbers. The book includes 11 illustrated pages.

'Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln' is a Disney attraction and made its official debut at the 1964 World's Fair in New York. It was added to the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California in July of 1965.

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln était une attraction conçue par Walt Disney et son équipe de WED Enterprises pour le pavillon de l'état d'Illinois à la Foire internationale de New York de 1964 à 1965. Elle fut ensuite déménagée à Disneyland et ouvrit le 18 juillet 1965 le lendemain du 10e anniversaire du parc. L'attraction fut fermée en 1973 pour être remplacée par The Walt Disney Story .
Walt Disney était fasciné par Abraham Lincoln depuis sa plus tendre jeunesse. Il récita souvent le célèbre Discours de Gettysburg devant sa classe à l'école primaire ou en dehors.
