This record was issued in several variations that include catalog numbers 3934 and ST-3934. Some of the differences include cover artwork, notation of 'Giant-Size' illustrations, inner cover artwork and the use of standard and Roman numerals for the copyright date. Each record contains a narrated story with songs and an 11-page book. The song 'Cruella De Ville' featured on side two (listed with an alternate spelling) is the same version that appears on the single #F-801 that credits the performers as The K-Nine.
'101 Dalmatians' is Disney's 17th animated feature and premiered in theaters during January of 1961. The running time is approximately 79 minutes.

Les 101 Dalmatiens (One Hundred and One Dalmatians) est le 21e long-métrage d'animation et le 17e dit «Classique» des studios Disney. Le film est réaliséi en 1961 par Clyde Geronimi, Wolfgang Reitherman et Hamilton Luske, il est l'adaptation du roman du même nom de Dodie Smith ''The One Hundred and One Dalmatians'' (1956).
À la différence de beaucoup d'autres films d'animation de Walt Disney, Les 101 Dalmatiens compte très peu de chansons, et la musique et les paroles ont été composées non par un tandem, mais par Mel Leven seul.
Pongo et Perdita, deux magnifiques dalmatiens, ont un beau jour quinze bébés chiens. Leur joie et celle de leurs maîtres, Roger et Anita, serait sans ombre si l’infâme Cruella, ancienne camarade de classe d’Anita, ne convoitait les chiots pour la réalisation d’un manteau de fourrure. Un soir, profitant de l’absence du couple, les méchants Jasper et Horace font main basse sur la portée. Pongo et Perdita se lancent alors dans un plan de sauvetage désespéré qui va les conduire à mener vers l’évasion non pas 15, mais quelques 99 chiots…
