Only the first five tracks from this album are songs from 'The Aristocats.' The final three tracks are from other Disney films that feature cats. Phil Harris and Robie Lester are the only original voices as heard in 'The Aristocats' film versions of these songs. The title track in the film, 'The Aristocats,' was performed by Maurice Chevalier. He was coaxed out of retirement for this project. It was his final film contribution.

'The Aristocats' is Disney's 20th animated feature and premiered in theaters during December of 1970. The running time is approximately 78 minutes.

Les Aristochats (The Aristocats) est le 25e long-métrage d'animation et le 20e dit « Classique » des studios Disney. Le film est sorti en 1970, réalisé par Wolfgang Reitherman, ce film est inspiré d'une histoire de Tom McGowan et Tom Rowe, qui met en scène des chats, héritiers d'une vieille dame et aux prises avec un majordome qui souhaite bénéficier seul et plus rapidement de cet héritage.

Paris, 1910. Madame de Bonnefamille, millionnaire excentrique, vit seule entourée de ses chats : Duchesse et ses trois petits, Marie, Toulouse et Berlioz. Un jour, elle convie son notaire pour léguer toute sa fortune à ses compagnons à quatre pattes. Cependant, une clause du testament stipule qu'à la mort des chats, ses biens iront à son maître d'hôtel, Edgar. Ce dernier, entendant la nouvelle, décide d'éliminer ces héritiers. Après leur avoir administré une drogue, il les emporte à la campagne avec la ferme intention de les noyer…
