Sangraal: La Spada Di Fuoco (English title The Sword Of The Barbarians) is an Italian film from 1982 directed by Michele Massimo Tarantini, starring Pietro Torrisi, Yvonne Fraschetti, Mario Novelli and Xiomara Rodriguez.

When Sangraal's wife is murdered by the followers of the evil Goddess Rani he vows vengeance upon the cult and journeys to the Ark of the Templars to get a magic crossbow that will help him accomplish his mission. Accompanying him in his adventure, his faithful companions Twan and Aki.

The music was written by Maestro Franco Campanino. It is very dramatic and powerful score. The choral parts are very clearly inspired by Carl Orff’s Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi from Carmina Burana, making it a very epic and pounding score, flavoured with some quieter but equally effective cues both acoustic (strings and flute) and electronic (synthesizer).

Kronos Records brings to you for the first time ever in any format this beautiful obscure score from Maestro Franco Campanino, at 31 years of age it makes it also the current youngest score in the Gold Collection, nevertheless nothing less valuable that its older predecessors.
