Chris (Jens Albinus) and little Jenjira (Lisa Nguyen) are running away from the mafia.
Together with Holger (Jürgen Vogel), Chris got the 9 year old Vietnamese from human traffikers without being able to pay for her. Maggie (Corinna Harfouch) is a withdrawn police inspector prone to alcohol who finds out why her husband left her without a word after 16 years. The two meet when Chris is accused of murder. In countless interrogations, the two get to know each other better and confess their hidden fears and dangerous desires to each other…

Film music composed by Christoph M. Kaiser and Julian Maas. About their film music: '„Our goal was to create a soundtrack which works as closely as possible with the characters and their evolvement. A music that doesn’t manipulate but compliments the actions and emotions of the singular figures. The main characters in the film are prisoners of their feelings; one could say they’re frozen or in a state of shock, partly due to past experiences partly due to inner conflict. Therefore most of the music is very slow, long sprawling passages breaking only into rhythm and melody when the characters spiral into emotional turmoil.'

Biography:

Christoph M. Kaiser started playing guitar at the age of 14. In 1988 he founded the Hamburg-based pop group 'The Jeremy Days“ as songwriter and bassplayer. Between 1994 and 2000, he worked as a record producer and remixer for various bands and labels in Germany, Great Britain and Ireland (Can, Quarks, Etta Scollo, Maxim Rad, Holger Hiller). In 1996, he also started producing music for movies (1996 Sexy Sadie, 1999 Anatomy, 2000 Crazy) and wrote his first major orchestra-pieces for the London Session Orchestra in 1999.
Julian Maas studied piano and composition at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. He worked as songwriter and piano player with Echt, Sascha, Jan Plewka, Udo Lindenberg, Roachford and Lamont Dozier.
In 2000 he started writing more orchestral music and worked as producer and arranger with the Sicilian State Orchestra and the Film-Orchestra Babelsberg. Since 2003 Julian and Christoph have teamed up to exclusively compose music for films and commercials.
Together they wrote the score for various TV-movies such as “Guten Morgen Herr Grothe”, “Der Frühe Abschied” and “Wo Ist Max Gravert” directed by Lars Kraume and “Eine Gute Mutter” by Matthias Glasner among many others. They also scored the feature films “Eden”, starring Charlotte Roche and “Max Minsky and I” directed by Anna Justice Julian and Christoph won for the German TV-Award 2008 in the category “Best Music”
