Universellement célébrée comme symbole parfait de la blonde sexy hollywoodienne, Marilyn Monroe était également, et on tend à la sous-estimer en ce domaine, une chanteuse épatante. Elle était d’ailleurs la dernière à en être convaincue, tant elle manquait de confiance en elle.
Ceste la raison pour laquelle, les témoignages sont tous concordants, elle avait à cœur de donner le meilleur d’elle-même et de travailler énormément chaque chanson quelle devait interpréter. Et pour être complètement rassurée, elle aimait, lors des enregistrements, être entourée de tous ses amis et de tout le personnel du studio, de la secrétaire au coursier. Toutes ses chansons sont ici rassemblées, la plupart sont dans nos mémoires, de Im Through With Love à My Heart Belongs To Daddy, poum poum pi dou!
