English: Etienne is on the verge of taking over as head of a large industrial group specializing in household cleaning products. Married to the beautiful Clemence, he's a man with everything. If only Clemence could conceive. By chance he runs into Patrick, a long-lost childhood friend, they share a few drinks, and Etienne ends up confessing that he owes his success to a lie. Years earlier, he took credit for a formula devised by an obscure chemist named Michelet, a formula which became the company's bestselling product. Patrick convinces his old friend to visit Michelet, to make amends. But things go horribly wrong and Patrick ends up killing the chemist.
Etienne's life becomes a nightmare. Harassed by Patrick, caught up in the police investigation, he falls under the spell of Fleur, Michelet's daughter, who contacts him in the hope of learning more about the misanthropic father she barely knew.
The noose tightens. Etienne tries to buy Patrick's silence, then to send him abroad. But Patrick is arrested and charged with Michelet's murder. Imprisoned, he blackmails Etienne: either he helps him escape, or Patrick will turn him in. Clemence, believing that Etienne's cheating on her with Fleur, leaves him, just when she is pregnant at last. For Etienne there's only one desperate choice left...

Grégoire Vigneron aboout the film music:

With Christophe, and Jean-Pierre Arquié, the film’s musical director, we hit upon the idea of « producing » the music to a reasonable extent, something that reminds you of the studio and arrangements. Christophe is a percussionist by training and he does not fear strange sounds, noises, exotic instruments, even if initially they have nothing to do with the story we’re telling. I wanted to have music that creates an ambiance, a mood, that immerses us in a warm bath. At the same time, it had to do the job in terms of conveying situations, emotions, the way of reading the scenes. Christophe managed to integrate all of these things. He has produced a plastic creation, often developing by subtracting, by retreating, a work which is similar to sculpture, with its contours of height and depth. You need wonderful material to work like this, and I have often been moved by the richness of the material that he brings to the project.

At the cinema, it is music that brings me the most pleasure. Moreover, listening to music always comes back to evoking images, the elements of the stories, the fantasies. For dreamers, all music is the original soundtrack and all soundtracks are valuable in themselves, free of the images that they have evoked.
I love the music that Christophe La Pinta has composed for my film. I love it as part of the film but I love it, too, simply for itself.
