Schmigadoon is a 2021 American musical comedy streaming television series created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio for Apple TV+ with Keegan-Michael Key, Cecily Strong, Fred Armisen, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ariana DeBose, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, Martin Short, and Aaron Tveit.

A parody of iconic musicals, Schmigadoon! is a new musical comedy series executive produced by Lorne Michaels and starring Emmy Award nominee Cecily Strong and Emmy Award winner Keegan-Michael Key as a couple on a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship when they discover a magical town in which everyone is living in a studio musical from the 1940s. They then discover that they can’t leave until they find “true love.”

Milan Records releases two albums of music from episodes 1 and 2 of “Schmigadoon! ”, the Apple Original musical comedy series executive produced by Lorne Michaels. Available everywhere now, Episode 1 and Episode 2 soundtracks feature original music and lyrics by the show’s co-creator and showrunner Cinco Paul in addition to score music by composer Christopher Willis.

Performing the show’s musical numbers is a renowned cast of talent that includes Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Martin Short, Alan Cumming, Kristin Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron and more.

The albums make their debut alongside the global launch of the series’ first two episodes, which are now streaming on Apple TV+. Milan Records will continue to release episodic soundtracks for the remaining four episodes in the series as they debut on Apple TV+.

Hailing from Broadway Video and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, Schmigadoon! is co-created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Paul serves as showrunner, and wrote all of the original songs for the series. Barry Sonnenfeld directs and executive produces. In addition to starring, Strong serves as producer, and Daurio serves as consulting producer and writer. Andrew Singer executive produces with Lorne Michaels on behalf of Broadway Video.

About Christopher Willis
Christopher Willis is a composer and songwriter, currently living in Pasadena, CA. Originally from the UK, he attended Clare College at Cambridge University, earning a PhD in Musicology, and he trained as a concert pianist at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

He is the recipient of multiple honors from the International Film Music Critics Association for his scores to The Death of Stalin and The Personal History of David Copperfield. Both films won Best Original Score for a Comedy Film in their respective years, and Copperfield was named 2020’s Film Score of the Year. His TV work includes HBO's Veep, Disney Junior’s The Lion Guard, and the much-loved Disney Mickey Mouse shorts. For the latter, he is a five-time winner of the Annie Award for Outstanding Music for a Television/Broadcast Production, and a two-time Emmy nominee for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics (2017) and Outstanding Music Direction and Composition (2019).

Christopher recently composed the soundtrack for the Walt Disney World ride-through attraction, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The ride centers around “Nothing Can Stop Us Now,” an original song co-written with his wife and songwriting partner, Elyse Willis. Upcoming projects include The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse for Disney+, Lamya’s Poem, an independent animated feature set in Syria; and “Schmigadoon!,” a musical comedy series coming to Apple TV+ in Summer 2021.
