Jerome Leroy's score to Vietnamese thriller 'Chi Chi Em Em' will be released digitally on September 29th, 2020.
Chi Chi Em Em is a 2019 Vietnamese psychological thriller following the story of Kim, a radio talk show host, who is going through a difficult phase in her marriage with Huy when she offers a room in their opulent home to runaway teen Nhi, unaware that the girl has dangerously ulterior motives. The film is directed by Kathy Uyen, making her directorial debut, and produced by Timothy Linh Bui.
Composed, orchestrated and conducted by Jerome Leroy, the score to Chi Chi Em Em combines a substantial acoustic orchestral foundation with a variety of synthetic textures to follow the emotional journey within the film’s main protagonists.
It has three major components: thematic music for the characters, textural music for tension, and classical music for a dramatic reveal midway through that pivots the two halves of the storyline into something unexpected.
