Exciting news! World-renowned composer Max Richter will be the guest of honour at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards on 23 October 2021. With scores for Mary Queen of Scots, HBO's The Leftovers, Waltz with Bashir, BBC's Taboo, the hit series My Brilliant Friend and almost a dozen solo albums (of which Sleep is an absolute landmark in modern classical music), he is one of the most innovative composers of our time.

Exciting news! World-renowned composer Max Richter will be the guest of honour at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards on 23 October 2021. With scores for Mary Queen of Scots, HBO's The Leftovers, and almost a dozen solo albums, he is one of the most innovative composers of our time.
The 2021 World Soundtrack Awards will take place in Opera Ghent on 23 October. Film Fest Ghent intends to safely bring back together the film music community, from industry professionals to fans from all over the world. The festival is honoured to announce composer Max Richter as one of the guests of this year's World Soundtrack Awards. Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Dirk Brossé, will perform a selection of the works by Max Richter and Bryce Dessner - last year's Discovery of the Year winner - at the WSA Ceremony & Concert.
'I am truly delighted to be invited to the 21st World Soundtrack Awards concert in Ghent as guest of honour. It will be exciting to showcase my works for film and television in particular in the context of Film Fest Ghent, which has played such a significant role in the appreciation of film music over the years. Deutsche Gramophon presents the the new soundtrack album for the HBO series My Brilliant Friend. The album contains the music from the second season of the series composed by Max Richter.
The soundtrack is available digitally May 1, 2020 by Deutsche Grammophon to stream and download on Amazon and all major digital music stores .
The label has previously released a soundtrack album with score from Season 1.
My Brilliant Friend is directed by Saverio Costanzo with Elisa Del Genio, Ludovica Nasti, Margherita Mazzucco and Gaia Girace.
Based on the second book of Elena Ferrante’s bestselling quadrilogy.
Elena's relationship is threatened when Antonio discovers she has asked the Solaras' help to keep him from doing military service, while Lila remains rebellious in her marriage to the often-violent Stefano.
After a photo of her is exhibited at a wedding dress shop in the center of town and becomes the subject of much gossip, Lila makes a bet with Elena about how the whole affair will end.
