The music composed by Sawtell and Shefter is as beautiful as it gets, the due were both very skilled classically trained tunesmiths with an innate ability to write the most skillful arrangements and variety.

A new decade is on and what better way to start a new decade than a gorgeous soundtrack from the Golden Age of cinema. The grand opener for 2020 for Kronos Records is none less than James B Clark's A Dog Of Flanders, from 1960, an adaptation of the original story by Ouida, starring David Lad, Donald Crisp and Theodore Bikel. A Dog Of Flanders tells us the emotional story of a boy and his dog, a boy whose dream of becoming a great classical painter appears shattered when his loving grandfather dies.

The gorgeous soundtrack was composed and conducted by the dynamic duo of composers of both the Golden and Silver Age that were Paul Sawtell and Bert Shefter, composers of among others Kronos, It! The Terror From Beyond Space, Return Of The Fly, The Lost World, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Jack The Giant, Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, Motorpsycho and Emiliano Zapata. A Dog Of Flanders was one of their most beautiful works and Kronos Records is proud to present this soundtrack for the first time ever on CD and for the first time ever in complete version.
