Lakeshore Records soundtrack partners Marriage Story (Netflix), American Factory (Netflix, Higher Ground), I Lost My Body (Netflix/Xilam Animation) and Missing Link (Annapurna Pictures/Laika Studios) have scored Academy Award nominations!
The four films have earned a combined 9 nominations, including Best Picture and Best Original Score (Randy Newman) nominations for Marriage Story; Best Documentary Feature for American Factory; and Best Animated Feature for I Lost My Body and Missing Link!

Congratulations to all the nominees this year! The 92nd annual Academy Awards (The Oscars) will be telecast on ABC on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

Marriage Story (Netflix) won Best Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture (Laura Dern), and Missing Link (Annapurna Pictures/Laika Studios) won the Best Motion Picture award in the Animated category! The awards were handed out at the annual ceremony on Sunday, January 5.

I Lost My Body (J'ai perdu mon corps) is a 2019 French animated film directed by Jérémy Clapin with the voices of Hakim Faris, Victoire Du Bois and Patrick d’Assumçao. In May 2019, following its Cannes premiere, Netflix acquired the worldwide distribution rights to the film, excluding France, Turkey, China and the Benelux region

This animated film tells two stories: that of a boy who falls in love with the disembodied voice of a girl he often delivers to on his pizza routes and that of his disembodied hand, that roams the streets of Paris in search of its owner.
This absurd juxtapositioning of the romantic aspirations of the boy and the frantic voyage of its hand, weaves together a gentle, and moving picture of hurt, loss and mourning. While the boy's perspective of the film may show the Paris we are used to seeing on the screen, it's the hand's tale that opens up a new perspective, the one from the gutter, close to the ground, the grub and the downtrodden dirt.
