The Dude was a source of inspiration for writers, directors and composers as well, so this album gathers a lot of exciting music for symphony orchestras by Dimitri Tiomkin, Max Steiner, Victor Young, Elmer Bernstein and so on. They mainly focus on westerns and adventures movies. This repertory that never goes out of fashion was carefully remastered to achieve optimal sound quality.
This John Wayne album is the first Disques Cinémusique compilation dedicated to an American star, perhaps the greatest one of the silver age, but we already have released others for important European actors which could also interest US audience: Danielle Darrieux, Jean Gabin, Marina Vlady, Jean Marais. Not to forget great composers Georges Auric and Jean Françaix.
Many more compilations are in the works. Be sure to check regularly our catalog online.
