Gaumont presents a soundtrack album for the French comedy The Mystery of Henri Pick (Le mystère Henri Pick). The album features the music composed by Laurent Perez Del Mar (The Red Turtle)

The Mystery of Henri Pick is directed by Rémi Bezançon and french actors Fabrice Luchini and Camille Cottin.

In a strange library in the heart of Brittany, a young editor finds an extraordinary manuscript. She immediately decides to publish it. The novel becomes a bestseller. But the author, Henri Pick, a Breton pizza chef who died two years earlier, 'never wrote anything besides a grocery list', according to his widow.
Suspecting a literary hoax, a famed critic decides to investigate, with the unexpected help of the daughter of the mysterious Henri Pick….

Laurent Perez del Mar is critically acclaimed for his work on the score for the Academy nominated feature film The Red Turtle, produced by the famous studios Ghibli. His score is awarded numerous times, including at the prestigious International Films Critics Association in 2017 and he is also nominated for an Annie Award and for the Prix Lumières in the best music category. Laurent Perez del Mar becomes a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science in 2017.

He is as comfortable composing for animated films (he wrote scores for Zarafa, nominated for the César in 2012, for Wolfy the incredible secret which won the César in 2014), as he is for feature films ( My son by Christian Carion, featuring Guillaume Canet and Melanie Laurent, Antigang featuring Jean Reno, Carole Matthieu featuring Isabelle Adjani…).

Born in Nice, Laurent Perez Del Mar started playing the piano at a very early age. He studied music at the Conservatoire and majored in music composition. Nowadays, Laurent Perez Del Mar resides in Paris.
